First things first: Create a dedicated Org just for this training.
After that, you can apply the same setup to existing dev orgs in Trailheads for Agentforce experiments 😃.
⚙️ Setting Up Agentforce
Let’s do what we know best when setting up Agentforce:
- Turn On Einstein (because AI magic is a must!)
- Enable Agentforce Agents
- Create a New Agent
🧩 Creating Your Agent
Use the Agentforce Employee Agent template.
In the Agent’s topics, remove the default General FAQ and customize it to your needs.
Key Points:
- Description: What are the goals of your agent?
- Role: What does it do daily? How does it interact with customers?
- Company: Info about your company and products. Hit Create! For this example, no extra Data Sources needed. Success! 😃
📚 Teaching Your Agent
At first, your Agent might not answer questions. Add topics to train it.
Start with the General CRM topic, full of instructions. Roll up your sleeves and build your own Agent! 😜
🔍 Testing Your Agent
Try asking for records to see if it fetches info from your Org:
- You can get opportunities and know which action was triggered (Query Records).
- Ask follow-ups or check high-priority open cases.
🚦 Activating Your Agent
After tests, activate your Agent.
It can now perform some everyday Service Agent actions out-of-the-box.
🔐 Managing Access: Permission Sets
Who can use this Agent? Time to set permissions!
Permission Set Setup:
- Label: Grant Employee Agent Access
- API Name: Grant_Employee_Agent_Access (leave default)
- Description: Grants access to Coral Cloud Employee Agents
- License: None (default)
- Manage Assignments: Assign users Add your Agent in Agent Access > Edit > Enabled Agents.
